- All of your usual shopping rights apply online: see www.consumer.gov.uk
- Know who you're dealing with: get the seller's phone number and postal address
- Be aware of terms and conditions: check payment and delivery details
- Keep records of what you order
- EU law protects you against fraudulent use of your payment card in EU transactions: credit cards give you extra protection
- Only give your payment card details over a secure connection, and never by email: never disclose your PIN to anyone, and NEVER send it over the internet
- You usually have at least 7 days to cancel an order and request a refund from an EU retailer
- Check your payment card statement carefully: you have at least 90 days to report a suspect transaction
- When you buy goods online from outside the EU: you are an importer and may be liable to pay any Customs Duty and VAT; err on the side of caution as it may be difficult to seek redress if problems arise
- If you have a problem, contact the seller then, if you need to, the payment card company, local Trading Standards Office and any 'trustmark' organisation the seller is registered with

How do you secure my payments?

What is SSL?
Secure Sockets Layer, SSL, is the standard security technology for creating an encrypted link
between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between our web server
and your browser remains private and secure. This system is used by literally millions of websites
worldwide to secure internet transactions between the server and the customer.
In order to be able to generate an SSL link (signified by the gold padlock in the information tool bar),
a web server requires an SSL Certificate.

How do I know you are a legitimate organisation?
Our SSL certificates are provided by leading certificate authority, Comodo. Comodo are Web Trust compliant,
meaning that their business practices and processes have been rigorously audited to AICPA (American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants) guidelines by an independent approved auditor (KPMG).
Comodo only provide High Assurance Certificates. Apart from the highest level of data encryption,
High Assurance certificates validate that a company is a legally accountable organization with
articles of incorporation.
To qualify to receive our SSL Certificate from Comodo we had to validate ourselves in order to
satisfy them that we are a legitimate business. We had to prove not only that we own this web domain,
but also that we are a legally accountable company. We believe that only by seeking this level of
validation can you have peace of mind when buying online.

What information do you collect?
When you place an order we collect your name, e-mail address, delivery address,
phone number, and credit card information. However, we do not store your credit
card number anywhere on our system. We may record which products you are
interested in and which products you purchase. We may also monitor use of the
site by customers to enable us to improve the service we provide.

Security Code?
The card security code is a unique three or four-digit number printed on your debit/credit card. This
number is not embossed on the card and hence not printed on receipts - making it difficult for anyone
other than the genuine cardholder, to know it.
Some card issuers refer to this number as the 'Card Security Code' others as the 'personal security
code' and others as 'Card Verification Value'.
Some cards, many UK-issued cards for example, have a three-digit number printed at the top of the
signature strip on the reverse of the card.
